ABOUT THE CAMP …
This is going to be a week long camp that ends with three performances — the whole week we will be at the Caribou Performing Arts Center.
This camp is going to be taught by award winning high schoolers with years of theatre experience. They will be taking the lead in teaching the campers the blocking, dancing and singing as well as designing the show behind the scenes. Each high schooler will be advised by an adult to offer advice, if needed.
The camp will run from Sunday July 31st to Saturday, August 6th.
There are many opportunities for campers to work behind the scenes for those interested in stage crew. These are open to students going into grades 1st-8th grade.
You can either sign your camper up for a full day from 10am to 6pm or you can choose a half day session either in the morning (10am-2pm) or afternoon (2pm-6pm). The afternoon session can be paired with the Rising Star performance session for campers going into grades 1st-3rd.
All day session (10am-6pm): Set Crew - this is open for campers going into grades 1st-8th. These campers will be building and painting all the set pieces used in the show. Then during the performances, they will be moving and responsible for the set pieces. $50 for the week.
All day session (10am-6pm): Props - this is open for campers going into grades 1st- 8th. These campers will be making and painting all the props used in the show. They will make the prop tables. Then during the performances, they will place and strike the props and keep track of them. $50 for the week.
All day session (10am-6pm): Costumes - this is open for campers going into grades 1st-8th. These campers will be creating all the costumes used in the show. Then during the performances, they will be responsible for the costumes and track any pieces that the actors touch. After the shows, they will locate and hang the costumes back up. $50 for the week.
Morning session (10am-2pm): When you register for this session, please specify if your camper is interested in set, props or costumes. This session is open for campers going into grades 1st-8th. $25 for the week.
Afternoon session (2pm-6pm):When you register for this session, please specify if your camper is interested in set, props or costumes. This session is open for campers going into grades 1st-8th. This session can be paired with the rising star (grades 1st-3rd) performing session. $25 for the week.
At the end of the week, all the campers will perform three fully staged public performances:

Ugly looks quite a bit different from his darling duckling brothers and sisters. The other animals on the farm are quick to notice and point this out, despite his mother's protective flapping. Feeling rather foul about himself, the little fowl finds himself on an adventure of self-discovery, all the while unknowingly outwitting a very hungry Cat. Along the way, Ugly meets a whole flock of unique characters and finds out being different is not a bad thing to be.
